Application for European Solidarity Corps Volunteering Projects

If you are a young person, 18 to 30 years of age, legally resident of one of the EU countries and you would like to volunteer with us as part of the European Solidarity Corps program, then:

Experimental Technology Education Sports TES-HIENET organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.

Who can volunteer with ESC?
European Solidarity Corps volunteering activities are open to 18-30 year old people who reside in programme and partner countries.

What is covered in ESC programs?

  • You are covered by a complementary insurance
  • You can access a range of support services such as linguistic support and training
  • Your basic costs will be covered (your travel to and from the project, accommodation and food)
  • You’ll also receive a small allowance for personal expenses (€3-6 a day, depending on the country)
  • If you have specific needs (e.g. a disability), these costs may also be covered

/!\ This coverage applies to volunteers in European Solidarity Corps activities.
If you are selected through the Corps portal by an organisation, which is funded through the 8 funding programmes of the first phase of the European Solidarity Corps, then your activity falls under the rules and procedures of that funding programme and not all the services mentioned above will apply to you.

Application for Self-Financed Volunteering Projects

If you are Citizen from any part of the World 18 to 50 years of age or a European Citizen 18 to 30 years of age that is not interested for ESC or your interest in project duration is not eligible to use ESC funding, don’t worry, you can still apply for one of our Self-Financing (European and International) Volunteering projects!

Here is a short description of our available Self-Financed Volunteering Projects:

Kindergarten Support Project

On the Kindergarten Support project volunteers are placed in Kindergartens and Nursery Schools throughout Chios Island. You can expect to assist the local teachers and staff with their daily routine and caring for children who range in age from 3 to 6 years. Classroom activities include helping the local teachers and staff with arts and crafts, mealtimes, cleaning, administration work, classroom preparation and rearrangements as well as playing with the children during break time. Volunteers need to take initiative, improvise, be flexible and willing to get involved in a variety of different tasks as needed.

School Support Project

Volunteers on the School Support project will be placed in a local school and will assist local teachers in a variety of different areas. Due to language barriers, volunteers do not teach independently and only support local teachers in the learning environment. The students range in age from 3 to 12 years and follow the Greek curriculum of teaching. The aim of this project is to help stimulate an interest in learning among the students and to support the teachers when needed.

Community Development Project

This project’s target is to assist the local community in a variety of tasks by cleaning and recycling, gaining an environmental awareness, as well as assisting in restorations, seasonal activities, reforesting, beach clean-ups to general maintenance work within schools and public places, this project gives to the volunteers the opportunity to help in protecting the environment, and offering assistance to the local community.
